Israel vs The World
Has Israel isolated themselves due to the war in Gaza?

President Biden recently announced that he would be constructing a floating dock off the coast of Gaza to help funnel humanitarian aid into the country. With virtually all 2.3 million Gazans facing starvation and tens of thousands of civilians dead, the world's view on the Israeli war campaign has changed. At the start everyone was on their side, a horrific terrorist attack that shocked the world on October 7th. Now nearly 6 months later public opinion has shifted as the bodys pile up more and more men women and children die.
Global political opinion is hard pressed against Israel after the UN Security Council, with the support of the United States, called for a ceasefire in Gaza and hostages to be released. Israeli officials immediately said that they reject this and have no plans on stopping the assault. Netanyahu even canceled a planned visit between Israeli officials and President Biden.
Both EU and US politicians are reconsidering arms deals with Israel in an attempt to thwart the progress of the Israeli army. To what extent this will come into fruition is still unclear.
What is clear is this, Israel is losing the publicity battle due to their refusal to abide by international law in war, their refusal to allow humanitarian aid on any sort of scale to actually help and the way in which they seem to completely disregard civilian lives.
The Israelis are doubling down on the war and the future is unclear as to whether the world will allow this to continue or if they will step in, in a more direct or military fashion.
We already see America spitting in the face of the ridiculous blocking of humanitarian aid into Gaza by the Israelis. This new floating dock that is being constructed is being done by the US military, and will serve as a port for incoming food and aid.
As well as the dock the United States Central Command continues to airdrop aid over the Gaza strip. Jordan and France have also conducted airdrops of aid to the Gazan people. The President of Cyprus offered his port to be used to transport humanitarian aid and encouraged Israeli authorities as well as US and EU countries to inspect all the shipments to ensure that they wont be used by Hamas.
The world seems pretty dead set on helping the civilians trapped in this war and apparently Israel can’t stop them from doing so.
