Once you go black, you never go back.

Coffee Jerry, coffee.

We're talking coffee. Black coffee.

It's been a long journey to this conclusion, but I am finally right. The best thing Starbucks has to offer is their coffee. Black coffee.

I started like everybody else at Starbucks. Hating it because I simply didn't know what happened there. Not knowing what to order, or what all the hype was about, so I just never went. That didn't last forever. I felt left out, so I had to get in there and try something. I finally picked something to try. Entry the Vanilla latte.

For years I would live and die by the Latte. The Blonde Vanilla latte to be exact. Hot, most days. However, the iced is nothing to shake a stick at. The first sip was like crack. I couldn't get enough, so I ordered this drink every couple days for about 6 years. Nothing else, ever. It was amazing every time. But recently I've unfortunately had to retire the Latte. This mostly due to some dietary restraints with carbs I’ve had to adapt to. The latte I regularly had contains a whopping 37grams per cup. (And that’s the smaller cup). I usually opted in for the heavy bike, venti size. Not to mention the 37grams of sugar I would slug down with the carbs. This turns out to be a huge problem for me and id suspect most other people. That being said, the Blonde Vanilla Latte will go down as a classic in Starbucks history, and I wish it nothing but the best. I'll cherish the mornings I woke up chasing that first sip. Late to work with bedhead, but that drink made it okay.

Those days are over though. I have successfully replaced my morning sugar milk with the drink of a gentleman, black coffee.

Starbucks black coffee. I'm still loyal to the Blonde roast but nothing added, straight black.

That first sip feeling of the Latte is nothing compared to that first sip feeling of a black coffee. I must have been blinded by the additives. This coffee tastes like freedom. You can do anything with a couple of these cups in your system. I suspect this is why armies around the world use coffee regular in wartime. This is why you should make the change.

A cup of sugar milk and pure coffee grounds brewed to perfection, simply does not compare.

It's the difference between life and death.

One thing gives you life and the other thing is actively killing you.

So, consider what you have been consuming, has it given you power or taken power from you?

Just like I didn't know what I was missing out on before I entered a Starbucks for the first time. I really had no idea what I was missing out on for years. I was missing the power I needed.

The power of coffee Jerry, coffee.

The thing this brand was built on. The thing I completely underestimated.

I must say, I'm not a coffee snob by any means. I get down with Dunkin, Mickey Ds, a gas station, or anywhere that has it hot. I always dowsed it with cream and sugar so of course it was good. But there's a difference at Starbucks.

The Starbucks establishment knows how to brew a cup of Joe. They just know what they're doing. It doesn't need any of that crap. It thrives standing alone. No sugar, no extras, straight joe. I think of it as the difference between a Toyota and a Lexus. You can find substiles that are the same but once you are behind that wheel something does not compare. Shoutout Lexus. You get the point; Starbucks has class that is served in every cup. And the cup they serve it in holds its own weight.

This is why I am a Bucks loyalist. It makes me feel better.

Yes, its 3 bucks a cup and cost about 30 cents to brew it, but that's not what you pay for. We pay for the power it brings to us. We pay for that first sip feeling. This is well worth the cost in my opinion.

If you are consuming a sugary milk drink every morning, it is probably killing you. I challenge you to make the switch. Black coffee, nothing else. This will bring you power and will give you everything you need to have a successful day.

This is what a gentleman drinks in the morning. Become a gentleman and join me and the millions of other who enjoy coffee the way God intended it to be. Black. And I promise you will never go back.
